Prepare Jealousies
Determine the number of gaps to use. This depends on the size of your louvered shutters, the size of your bed, if you want spaces between shutters. If you are cleaning for shutters in flea markets, measure the edge of your bed before out and take a measure with you to measure the gaps. Wipe dirt, dust and debris from the doors, with a clean damp cloth. Pay attention to creases and other narrow areas around the rafters.
Paint Blinds
Brush on a thin layer of wood primer on the doors and allow to dry. Brush on your chosen color louvered shutters. It may be good to use a small artist’s brush to apply color to the fold between the spades. This ensures that you do not miss spots and prevent you from ending with globs of color. If you do not use a bright color, a layer of color should be good. Allow the paint to dry. Apply polyurethane. Polyurethane surface can be applied with a brush or a spray can, depending on your personal preferences. Allow the polyurethane coat to dry before installing shutters.
