Remove the interior shutter doors from the hinges by pushing the pin up and out of the hinge. Usually there are three hinges and it helps to remove the upper, bottom and then middle so that the door does not turn out before you finish. Lift the cover and remove it. Unscrew the door from the door, the door handle and the front. If there are any hooks or other hardware, screw them and place them aside. You do not want to paint over these things or your door will not look like it was painted properly.
Set the interior shutter doors flat on two supports that will keep it open from the ground so that you can paint it. About 90 cm (3 feet) is usually a nice height. Make sure you are in a place that is slightly protected so you do not have the wind blowing the color around. Wash the door with a small all-purpose cleaner to remove greasy stains, especially around the door handle. Give the door a slight grinding so the color fits better. Wipe the door down to remove dust and gravel that may be on the door. Be sure to make both sides and edges. Spray the door with the paint by making big sweeps with the can go past the edges of the door.
